I had a great career, got to middle management and
felt frustrated that I wasn't able to make the difference

When I started the Diploma of Life Coaching a year ago my intention was to be a coach and it was about6 months into the course I realised how effective the methodologies I was learning were beyond coaching. For example, my background is business management and I've applied coaching to change management and implementation of I.T. systems as well as recruitment.
I've applied these skills, particularly NLP, to my recruitment and interview process, and I've used them to build my business, Prolifix, which is a business management and recruitment consulting business.
All along I have received amazing support - the reason why I've been able to apply it to so many areas in my life and business is because of the training and the support - it has truly opened my eyes to what I can achieve.

 After going to uni, working in sales, hospitality, retail and
management I really did not know what the purpose of
my life was. I returned from two years living overseas in
Europe, and started participating in self development
courses and I loved them. I started investigating
coaching programs. I felt excited but also scared. My
fears were mostly around making the wrong choice, a
pattern I did quite often. I wanted to make sure that I got it
right. I was also worried about my age as I was 22 at the time. What if nobody took me seriously?
I bit the bullet and joined The Coaching Institute. I loved the intake weekend. It was amazing and I loved the exhilaration I felt when I coached for the first time at the weekend using the distinctions that I was learning. Every time I attended a Teleclass or watched a DVD I felt that same sense of excitement around all of the new learnings. I always looked forward to practising them for the first time with my pro bono clients and in the triads. I loved my new motto, which was ‘I must go over the boundaries to know them’. It helped me release my old pattern about needing to make sure I had all the answers before I took action!!
Now a couple of years on, I am running a full time coaching practice called Free to be me life coaching. I now know that I am living my purpose and assisting others to live theirs everyday.
